Keeping your emotions bottled up is generally harder to do than it is to talk through your worries with a psychologist. It takes courage and a leap of faith to make an appointment to speak with someone you have never met before, so please contact me if you have any questions after looking through this website.

If you have been thinking about seeing a psychologist for counselling and feel it might help you to talk things over with someone who is not involved in your life, I would be happy to help. Women can be very strong and yet so critical of themselves if they think they are not coping. Have you noticed that you are thinking of all the things you should be doing? Are you comparing yourself to the women you think are effortlessly juggling a career and a family? Do you think you are not good enough? Are you critical of yourself, often finding fault? Maybe you feel you can never do the right thing to please others or you find you are overwhelmed by what you used to consider insignificant? . Men like fixing things which makes it hard for them when they can't fix themselves. It doesn't mean you are weak if you go to see a psychologist, getting help is the first step in taking control over things which may have left you feeling helpless. Sometimes you can get caught up in seeing only the areas in your life which aren't working. I will help you to challenge these thoughts and see that things can improve. My goal is to help you to gain tools and insights which will allow you to deal with the stress in your life and bring you to the point where you no longer need to come and see me. |
