FEE STRUCTURE FOR CLIENTS WITH A MENTAL HEALTH PLAN.
REBATE
The Medicare rebate of $84.80 applies to all clients with a Mental Health Plan completed by your GP or psychiatrist. A Mental Health Care Plan entitles you to 10 individual and 10 group sessions in a calendar year. The rebate is deposited into your EFTPOS account immediately after payment. Please ensure you have registered your financial details with Medicare.
Please bring the referral and Mental Health plan to your first appointment to obtain the rebate.
FEES
With a Concession Health Care Card (as shown below), the fee is $99.00 which is paid at the time of your appointment. After the rebate,the out of pocket cost to you is $14.20
Without a Concession Health Care Card, the fee is $125.00 which is paid at the time of your appointment. After the rebate,
the out of pocket cost to you is $40.20
Sessions are approximately 50-55 minutes long, leaving time to take payments and make new appointments.
Medicare does not provide rebates for families or couples counselling.
Bulk Billing
Bulk billing is available for those aged 12-18 -who have been referred with a Mental Health Care Plan. This means there will be no additional cost for your sessions. (I do not work with children younger than 12 years ).
Private Clients
For private clients, a referral is not required. However, if you have a private health fund, you are encouraged to contact them to find out whether their policy covers services provided by a Generalist Registered Psychologist. Upon payment, a receipt will be issued for you to claim through your health fund.
You must decide if you wish to claim through Medicare OR your Private Health Fund.
Cancellation Policy
12 hours notice is required for any cancellations so that I can offer that time to another client. You are financially responsible for the cancellation fee of $50 if you fail to attend or do not give enough notice. It can be difficult to attend your appointment if you are feeling distressed. However if you make the time for yourself and commit to attending, this helps to aid your recovery.
